CBS Celebrates Its 75th Anniversary
With A Live, Star-Studded Party, Nov.
2
Sunday, Nov. 2 CBS AT 75, a three-hour
live event, celebrates the Networks
(8:00-11:00 PM, monumental anniversary.
A star-studded party atmosphere, live
live ET/delayed PT) from the Hammerstein
Ballroom in New York, will feature exciting
moments from the Networks spectacular
archive of entertainment, news, sports
and radio. Presenters and guests from
CBSs family of stars, as well
as surprise appearances, will help viewers
remember some of the most remarkable,
informative, entertaining and humorous
moments the Network has presented over
the years. Scheduled to participate
are Alan Alda, Candice Bergen, Carol
Burnett, Andy Griffith, Don Johnson,
Jane Seymour, William Petersen, Tom
Selleck, the Smothers Brothers, Ted
Danson, Mary Tyler Moore, Walter Cronkite,
Dan Rather, Angela Lansbury, Marla Gibbs,
John Amos, Tyne Daly and many more.

BEVERLY HILLS, CA, SEPTEMBER, 2003
- On Saturday evening, November 8,
2003 BAFTA/LA will host the 12th
Britannia Awards at the Century Plaza
Hotel & Spa in Los Angeles.
The Stanley Kubrick Britannia Award
for Excellence in Film will be presented
to Hugh Grant. Sir Howard Stringer,
Chairman and CEO of Sony Corporation
of America, will be presented the Britannia
Award for Contributions to Worldwide
Entertainment, Peter Weir will be receiving
the 1st John Schlesinger Britannia Award
for Excellence in Artistic Achievement,
and Angela Lansbury will receive the
Britannia Award for Lifetime Achievement
in Television and Film Award.
BAFTA/LA Chairman Gary Dartnall stated:
"We are full of pride to be presenting
our hallmark of respect upon our 2003
honorees, who stand among the very pinnacle
of their professions. This promises
to be one of the grandest evenings in
our many years of the Britannia Awards.
Actor and Director Alan Cumming will
be the host for the evening. Presenters
include Sharon Osbourne, Billy Connolly,
Dustin Hoffman, Russell Crowe, Robin
Williams, Jane Seymour, Robert Wagner
and Sandra Bullock, with musical performances
by Grammy Award winning jazz artist
Boney James, and Tony-nominated singer
Valerie Pettiford.

of Ceremonies for the evening. Linda
Ronstadt will sing Christmas songs and
carols, accompanied by The Royal Festival
Orchestra. Sarah, Duchess of York, will
read Twas The Night Before Christmas
and other holiday favorites. Also appearing
are The Westminster Concert Choir, The
Westminster Bell Choir, along with principal
and solo dancers from Londons
Royal Ballet Covent Garden, The Royal
Winnipeg Ballet, The Kyiv Ballet &
Canadas Shumka (Whirlwind) Dancers,
all performing scenes from The Nutcracker.
